Emily Leonard, BA CT
Guided by a belief in the restorative love of God - the wonderful counselor - I strive to offer a compassionate and supportive space where you can experience healing and growth. Personal experience navigating mental health challenges as a young woman has ignited my passion for supporting women and girls through anxiety, depression, life changes, and the aftermath of trauma. My therapeutic approach emphasizes a person-centered, relationship-based framework, focusing on empowering you by building on your strengths and creating a space where we can gently examine and understand underlying beliefs to uncover new perspectives and possibilities for growth. I believe in walking alongside women as they embark on their healing journey, working to emphasize finding peace and resilience through mindfulness, self-compassion, and community connection.
I am a counselor trainee from Xavier University with a bachelor's in psychology from The Ohio State University and a minor in sociology. When I'm not immersed in the world of counseling, you can find me exploring local bookshops and losing myself in a good book!
